Castoro Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

By using the Castoro service and applications (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Service description

Castoro is a service for optimizing the cutting of sheet materials, available through the web app, mobile app, and other supported application builds. Optimization tasks are processed on the server, and the results are returned to your device.

3. Service availability and development

We continuously develop the App: features may be added, changed, or removed. Projects and workshop data are synced with Castoro servers, and we aim to preserve them across updates; however, we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation of the service (see section 7).

The core features of the App are provided free of charge. Additional features are available with the optional paid Castoro Pro subscription (see section 6). The Terms of Use may change in the future, and users will be notified.

4. License to use

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or commercial purposes.

You may:

  • Use the App to optimize material cutting
  • Save and export results
  • Use the App for commercial purposes

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to access the source code
  • Use the App for illegal activities

5. User data

Account registration is not required for the free features. A signed-in account is required for the Castoro Pro subscription. You retain all rights to the data you enter in the App. We use this data only to operate the service: optimization, project synchronization, workshop management, and generation of the documents you request.

We may process limited technical usage events on Castoro servers to maintain and improve the App. Details on data collection and processing are described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Castoro Pro subscription and payments

The App offers an optional paid subscription — Castoro Pro. It extends how documents are prepared and issued — in particular, it lets you issue reports under your own workshop. Cutting optimization, on-screen review, and PDF generation remain available without a subscription. The current set of subscription features is shown at checkout in the App and may change.

  • Purchasing and using Castoro Pro requires a signed-in account.
  • Polar Software, Inc. sells Castoro Pro and processes the payment as the merchant of record. Polar's Buyer Terms apply to the purchase: https://polar.sh/legal/checkout-buyer-terms
  • The price and billing period are shown at checkout before payment.
  • The subscription renews automatically at the end of each paid period until auto-renewal is cancelled.
  • You can cancel auto-renewal at any time; Castoro Pro remains active until the end of the period already paid for.
  • Refund requests are handled under Polar's Buyer Terms and applicable law. For help, contact support@castoro.pro.
  • Subscription prices may change; changes apply only to future billing periods.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" without any warranties.

We strive for calculation accuracy, however we do not guarantee:

  • Absolute accuracy of results
  • Absence of errors in algorithms
  • Optimal results in all cases

Important: always verify calculation results before starting production work. We are not responsible for material damage resulting from inaccuracies in calculations.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation of the App or constant server availability.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct or indirect damages related to use of the App.

9. Intellectual property

All rights to the App, including source code, algorithms, and design, belong to the developer.

10. Age restrictions

The App is intended for users over 12 years old.

11. Termination of use

You may stop using the free App at any time. Removing the App from your device does not cancel Castoro Pro; cancel auto-renewal through the Polar Customer Portal.

You may delete your account through the App. Account deletion is different from cancelling auto-renewal: it immediately ends any active Castoro Pro subscription and access, and does not itself issue a refund for unused paid time.

We may restrict access for users who violate these Terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. The last updated date is listed at the beginning of the document. By continuing to use the App after changes, you agree to the new terms.

13. Consumer rights

These Terms do not limit any consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
